slides Looking for a program for your next iris society meeting or just wanting to look at some of the wonderful iris that once - and hopefully still do - populate the iris world prior to 1980?

The following iris slides and one Video DVD Slideshow are available for a $12 rental fee. You can have any one or more of the following slide Sets in your hands in just a few days. Keep your selection to review and use as needed, and then return the slide Set promptly so others may also use it.

We use USPS Flat Rate mailing boxes to mail the 35mm slide Sets. Your $12 covers our mailing to you. All payment checks are routed through the HIPS Treasurer. We ask that you return the 35mm slides by Flat Rate mail (use the same box). Boxes are also free at your local Post Office or on line at USPS. You pay all return postage.

Included with each slide Set or Video DVD Slideshow is a script detailing each of the iris shown. "Name, in caps, is followed by the collector, discoverer or hybridizer, the date of description, registration or introduction into commerce (in parentheses) and the best description ..." to be found. Often included is a short biography of the hybridzer or introducer. "@ indicates the photographer and/or the location where photographed." "Awards listed: HM is Honorable Mention. AM is Award of Merit granted by the American Iris Society. The Dykes Medal, now is awarded by vote of AIS judges to an American iris and by the BIS to a British iris; it was originally granted by the BIS to a British, an American and a French iris." (Quoted materials from the original scripts for slides).

In an effort to continue to update iris information, we encourage viewers to add any information or corrections to the scripts. We also encourage viewers to provide a summary of the response of the individual or club to the slideshows.

Some of these slides are old - handle with care. All spelling is from the original scripts or checked with the on line Iris Register.

So, here they are: Choose one or more - they are addictive!
